Suspect Comes Forward After Hanover Man Shot In Chest During Argument (Update)

The suspect in a Hanover shooting has come forward and is cooperating with police, authorities announced on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024.

The update follows a shooting that occurred at an apartment building in the 100 block of Broadway on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, where a 34-year-old Hanover man was shot in the upper chest during an altercation with his neighbor, Hanover Borough Police said.

The victim was transported to York Hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, police reported.

The suspect, initially described as a Hispanic man, approximately 6 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build, fled the scene in a gray Ford F-150 extended cab before police arrived.

On Dec. 17, police confirmed the suspect has come forward and is cooperating with the investigation.

The case remains under active investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
